Dig BMX Issue 69

The, like, totally random issue.
The, like, totally random issue.

If our last issue (DIG 68: The Trails Issue) was all about one aspect of riding then our newest issue couldn’t be more different. Dig 69 covers everything from Spaniards in Russia to the re-appearance of a riding legend in a New York Museum…

Q&A over at Dig!

What’s new in your life? I had a good laugh in Estonia, it was really cool seeing people i hadn’t seen in a while. I just built a brand new bike up and its sweet, its the Brad Simms signature Hoffman. I’ve been riding the set up at the seventies warehouse. I’m off snowboarding in Sweden this weekend.

Sean Burns Q&A

Dig BMX
Any interview with Burns is a good interview

What’s the strangest situation you’ve been in lately? Recently when I was in Boston for the holiday grog, myself, Jeff Allen and some ladies we know were driving to a party in a snow storm… when out of nowhere the car in front of us hauled the brakes, we slipped and started spinning, hit a guard rail then smashed into the car going backwards in front of us. A 40 year old black man with dread locks got out of his car with his pants around his ankles.. buttoning up his jeans whilst saying, “are you guys OK mon?” we said “yeah were OK brother” then he gets into his mangled car and drives off. There was a woman in the passenger seat with her head down. I’m pretty sure the dude was getting road head and hit the brakes on the impact of his orgasmic eruption. A cop came to investigate the scene. I told him exactly what I saw and he looked at me like I was a freak. A lying freak. At that point we had forgotten there was a girl in our trunk the entire time. I then later had to spend the night at one of the girl’s houses who was 19 and hid in her closet so her parentals couldn’t find me. Hiding in a 19 year old girl’s parent’s closet is a strange situation for a 25 year old man.

Brian Tunney interview

This edit’s (g)old. Visit Vital BMX for the full interview

Brian Tunney has been a fixture in BMX for a long time, both as a rider and someone working behind the scenes in the industry. From writing for Dig, traveling the world, managing teams, and judging contests, Brian is as deep into BMX as you can get. We asked Brian a few questions to give you a look at what one version of the BMX can look like.

We’ve also included a couple videos of Brian riding both flatland and street, sometimes at the same time. Brian knows that having fun on your bike has no boundaries.
